We have many wonderful animals available for adoption! View our adoptable pets online, or stop by to visit them in person.
Although we try to update our online database daily, we have new animals coming to the shelter all the time, and we often have more pets at the shelter than appear online.
Adoptions happen quickly, so we can't guarantee the availability of all animals listed online. You can check the status of an animal by calling 303-698-0076.
Adoption process:
- Pets that are already neutered can be taken home at the time of adoption.
- Pets that have not been spayed or neuterd prior to adoption will have to remain at the shelter. An appointment will be made for your new pet to be spayed or neutered at the animal hospital.
- You will then pick up your pet from the animal hospital after surgery.
- The Customer Service Representative will provide you with paperwork which will include date, time, and location of the animal hospital where your pets surgery will be performed.
- In the event your pet becomes ill after the adoption but before the spay neuter date arrives, you will be asked to pick up your pet and leave a $100 deposit. This is refundable once your pet has been altered. The customer service representative will provoide you with paperwork extending the spay or neuter date by (30) days.
- Once your pet is healthy enough for surgery, you will make your pet's spay or neuter appointment.
- If your pet is not healthy after the 30 days you will need to contact our Adoption Coordinator for a spay and neuter extention. An extention will only be given by providing written proof from a certifited Veterinarian stating the adopted pet is not healthy enough for surgery.
- You will be contaced by our Adoption coordinator to ensure your pet has been altered and you have the required paperwok proving your pet has been altered your $100 deposit will be returned.
- If you do not provide proof or your pet did not get spayed or neutered, you will forfit your $100 deposit.
